Olomouc, Czech Republic

Hi you all,
it was an amazing long weekend last week.

Do you remember Voices of European TeacherS?
It is a European Teacher network that began in 2012 and finished last weekend in Olomouc, in Czech Republic.

Primary, secundary and university teachers from all over 10 different European Countries wanted to improve education by working on identity, diversity, citizenship and multiculturalism. Heterogeneity, technology and theory with practice as well. So, as teachers, our challenge is to help our students to cultivate frameworks in order to analyze the world. That is why,we all have been working together a long these years.
Since the very beginning I started to deep into the Identity meaning and I introduced it to my students with this ppt.

If you want to find out the projects done a long these years, click on the pictures below and check them:

An important exhibition you mustn't lose it.

Himalaya mountains, Tibet and Tintin meet in our city. An important exhibition at Sabadell Culture Space Foundation, recalls the adventure of the Belgian reporter in Tibet.

This exhibition commemorates 65th Annapurna's Conquest and the 50th anniversary of  "Tintin in Tibet"  in Catalan.
It will be opened from today to January 2016.

If you visit it, you will see similarities between the two adventures and how one influenced on the other. Both stories, one real and the other from imagination, are also stories that shows frienship and a strong believe in achieving a dream.
Furthermore friendship, improvement, effort, loyalty, solidarity...are values that the exhibition highlights.

Displays in the English Classroom

Hard to believe, but is true that summer is over for now.
It's time to prepare school to receive students next September 14th.
Because of that, I'm doing some displays for the English Classroom.
From my point of view, classroom requests (posters) are very important to teach English because they help students to participate in the classroom in the foreign language from the beginning of the school year.
As teachers, we can make colourful flashcards to use them as posters or as a presentation. If you click on the picture below, you will find a useful web page with thousands of free quality clip art images. You become a designer, then you print it on a coloured paper and "voilà", it will catch everyone's eye.
