Diversity poem

In every life we have some trouble, when you worry you make it double!

It's fine to be
happy or sad.
It's fine to be
brave or scared.
It's fine to have
short or long hair.
It's fine to play
or just watch.

It's fine to be alone
or want company.
It's fine to be thin
or fat.
It's fine to wear jeans
or a skirt.

It's fine to dance
or sit down.
It's just fine
to be
what you
want to be!

Happy St. Jordi's Day!

St George's Day is celebrated in and around Catalonia!
This celebration coincides with the Fair of the Book and the Rose. The tradition says that every man offers a rose to his love and in return every woman gives a book to her love.
In fact, the book is in memory of Cervantes, the author of
"Don Quijote".
Also, in our school we celebrate "Jocs Florals" each year.
The tradition orders that each child writes a text.
On St. Jordi's Day, the winners have a book and a rose as prizes.

By the way, here you have a story that reminds me a famous one. Pay attention because this one is a little bit different. Enjoy it!

Let's save energy!

Here you have a video where you will watch a family wasting energy. Do they need all those lights on? Do they need to use all that hot water and electricity? Pay attention and let's conserve energy, making our planet a better place at the same time!

The planet Earth
is the third
in the Solar System.
It's blue and green
and its air is clean.
It's got a Moon
and stars
but they're very far.
Let's protect
Mother Earth.

Earth Day Celebration

We'll celebrate the Earth Day tomorrow !
Each year, Earth Day — April 22 — marks the anniversary of what many consider the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.

What does it mean? It means that people around the world are becoming more and more conscious of the urgent need to reduce pollution and save the environment every day.
Earth Day is not just a celebration, it is a call for action!
But...what can we do? Last School year children concluded that there are lots of things we can do at the school and also at home.
Here you have some of the main ideas they said:
  • To take shorter showers.
  • To turn off the tap while you are brushing your teeth.
  • To turn the lights off when you are not using a room.
  • To walk or cycle more.
  • To take public transport.
  • To reduce plastic.
  • To reuse more.

Tomorrow we will talk about this celebration and we'll decide some more actions.
By the way, I want to share with you this green memory game. I hope you like it!

April 1st, a fool day!

April fool's day is celebrated today in some countries. People use to play jokes on friends and to practice humor. Our equivalent day is the Holy Innocents' Day, in December.
Because of that, let's have fun with this short movie about penguins, ants and crabs. Enjoy it!

Today is a day
to practice jokes,  get creative and play fun pranks on people around you.
Nobody is exactly sure where the tradition started but nowadays it's an excuse to play silly jokes on friends.
Many newspaper, radio personalities, television shows, and internet web sites participate in the celebration.
