Avatars everywhere

Hi there, I am doing a research about on line resources for next school year. I try to look for those apps and tools that maybe will make the English lessons time to have fun and to learn at the same time. Also, you know that I have just finished my request for the eTwinning Quality labels and, because of that, I am diving into those resources that can help us in a European project. So, today I will pay attention to presentation tools. Here you have the easiest and coolest links:
Funko offers to you a way to design a peculiar avatar. It can be fun for your English lessons because after creating the avatars, children can describe them and practice writing skills.
Pixton is a cartoon tool that allows to create awesome comics and also you can design your avatar.
Avatar maker is another free tool where you are able to create an avatar.

Face.co similar to the previous one, what do you think?

and there are many more that maybe you already know:
Face your manga is a social application which allows to create a Japanese style avatar. Judge for yourself
or voki where students can choose a different avatar. Also they can customize what they say.
So, we have many free resources that can make our lessons awesome and unforgetable. I encourage you to use them when you want to introduce writing skills. They are going to engage kids in a flash!

What's going on?

Hi everyone! If you are a follower of this page you know that, in general, teachers always try to make our job better and improve things in and outside the classroom. That's the reason because I keep on doing training courses. In e-Twinning network you can find interesting ones and the post today is because I finished an amazing one. It made me think about education today, apps, new technologies...among other issues that are changing our enviroment. They are in our lifes, so why don't we reinforce English with them? Looking on the bright side always seems to help me make things better!
Nevertheless, I want to introduce some tools you can download in your device. They will allow very young children to learn the foreign language by themselves.
The first one is the AR Flashcards Animal Alphabet app. It is a new way to interact and make flashcards more entertaining for children. You will find the link to the website by clicking on the monkey below.

Other apps:
Alphabet and English. Learning English spelling words.
My life in English (crosswords, wordsearch, searches, find and match...)
Little smart planet (different grades for children and parents)
Pet desk (related to pets and their care)
Creapp cuentos (first writings)
ABA English (3rd cycle: listen, speak, read and write in English)

Engage language learning!

A lot of adults regret not having learned another language different to the mother tongue or the foreign language learnt at school. Personally, I think that language teachers have the advantage of encouraging children learning languages. We have many resources and technology to engage children in a flash, but specially in September, at the beginning of the school year, we have the opportunity to inspire them and get them excited about learning languages planning activities to celebrate the European Day of languages (September 26th). So, if you are a teacher and you want to plan some activities for that celebration, here you have some resources from TES.

Past simple game

Dear all,
this is a fun game to make students speak and revise the question form of past simple.
Rules of the game:
1)  Work in groups of 3.
2)  Each student thinks of 6 actions he/she did yesterday and writes them down in a paper.
3) In turns, roll the dice and read out the sentence that corresponds to the number it got.
Eg. I roll the dice and I get 1. I read out the first sentence in my paper.
4) The other two students in the group need to make up a suitable question for my answer.
5) The child who rolled the dice decides which question is the most suitable for his/her answer.
6) The child who guessed the correct question gets as many points as the spots on the face of the dice

Digital resources

Happy New Year everyone! New year, new projects, new resources and new updatings. I believe that teachers are students throughout our lives. Never stop, never give up. That's the reason of this post. I love sharing materials, worksheets and resources that I use in my lessons with all of you, a follower or a reader. Nowadays there are some educational issues that are quite different from the past. I mean, a part of lesson planning, teaching, management and knowledge among others, ICT keeps the students engaged. Because of this, I want to share the top 10 digital resources I used in 2017. As we live in a digital time, there would be more resources that they will be also useful, but the ones you will see in the blog linked in the pic below, are the ones I used last year and it is sure I am going to use them in this new year. Click on the pic below and start to use them. They are awesome!
