Chocolate covered anything day!

If you are a chocolate lover, today is your day (my day ;D) !  If you could cover anything in chocolate, what would it be? There are so many foods that are improved by covering them in chocolate, I do not have time to list them all but here you have two delicatessen I tried at home: orange peels and cashews.  So go ahead, and try new chocolate covered dreams. By the way, here you have other important days in December to celebrate or to share in your lessons.

Besides that, if you want to link the day with Roald Dalh famous book, here you have a digital short presentation about the characters.

Furthermore, here you have an easy presentation about chocolate

Healthy diet

Some of my students are studying food categories. After going to "Fageda Factory", they did a research learning the names of some food terms and grouping them into categories. They did a great job!
By the way, if you click on the food pyramid, you will find a game. Drag each food into the correct group it fits the best.

I also prepared a ppt with healthy advices. That is a guide of a healthy diet divided into sections to show the recommended items for each food group. Also we have learnt what our body needs.

A funny chant for 1st graders

Hi everyone!
1st graders are learning a chant to practise food vocabulary.
When we split the group, I put some masking tape down on the floor to look like a train. Children and me line up and put our hands on the shoulders of the person in front of us.
Then, we walk around the classroom like a train and we say the chant at the same time.

Food topic for 3rd graders

3rd graders are studying food. After reviewing and learning the names of food items, they had to classify the food pictures into different groups. They did a great job!
As you can see, we made a food pyramid. That is a shaped guide of healthy foods divided into sections to show the recommended items for each food group. Also we have learnt what our body needs.
By the way, if you click on the picture above, you will find a game. Drag each food into the correct group it fits the best.
