A lovely new book

In this delightful picture book, a boy introduces both himself and his monster, who has been with him for as long as he can remember. It is big and bossy and it hides itself from the boy's parents. The book shows the reader or the listener that everyone can overcome fears with the right strategies.
If you are a teacher, let me say that, after reading, you can talk about children fears using the structure: I am afraid of darkness, I am afraid of spiders, I am afraid of...I recommend you to use flashcards for checking and refreshing vocabulary.
After that, what about to do an individual reading comprehension to check what students remember about basic vocabulary? Here you have my proposal:

I would be very happy if you report or write down a comment to give me your feedback about it. Thanks a lot.

An important Fair in our City

The 8th edition of "Som Clicks" is dedicated to the wonderful world of CIRCUS. If you decide to visit the Fair this next weekend, you will visit more than 15 large dioramas related to characters in the Circus, pirates, the west and many more surprises creating beliavable worlds in a small scale.
It will be a paradise for everybody because this small toy is one of those toys for which no time passes. By the way, did you know that male dolls are named clicks and female are name clacks?

Emotions in a movie!

Hello there everyone!
Have you ever thought of looking inside your mind?
Here you have a movie I recommend to all of you. Riley is an eleven-year-old girl who lives with 5 emotions inside her: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust.
My favourite one is Sadness, why?
You will have to go to the cinema and discover the reason.
It's easy, you will see.
One of the important things I can say is that Sadness is vital to our well-being.

Identity activity in an art lesson

4th grade students have been working on their family trees over the past month. After that, they designed new self-portraits in which they traced their roots through their parents.
Nowadays it's easy to take photos from children if you have their parents' permission, so we used a black and white photo for the activity below and we cut into halves. Then, we identified half of it with our mother and half of the same picture with our father.
Note if you visit this page from abroad: the tradition in Catalonia orders that when a baby borns, he/she is called after their parents and receives two surnames.
Have a look.
