Look up and smile ;D

This weekend has been very special for me. Personally, it was an honor to participate in the APAC convention but I have been happier for being part of the audience of some awesome speakers.
One of those was Emma Reynolds, who introduced the audience into the paradox of mindfulness and provided teachers with some skills to deliver simple practices in the classroom. She finished her presentation with this picture and I loved it. I feel that I am one of them.

Pirates Everywhere!

Arr!
Ahoy Mattes! Sit back and watch ye movie from hours ago.

Pirates acrostic!
Pirates sail across the sea
 Invading islands and ships
Riches fill their chests

Pirate Island

This performance is an interactive and musical comedy based on cultural diversity.  The story is about a pirate whose ship sank 20 years ago, and since then the pirate has lived on an island alone. One night there is a big storm and two new people arrive on the island.
With comedy, music and dance, the story encourage students to think about cultural diversity and get involved in the action.
Pirate Island, Wednesday January 30th for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.

By the way, do you want to learn the Pirate dance?
Here you have this video with the main song.
